I Hope this helps you guys out if you want to mount Z18 Brembo calipers on to your VDubs😎❤️ Wheel choice is entirely yours as long you keep your ET offset in mind😉 The only thing you can upgrade is your brake master cylinder from 22 or 23mm to a 25mm Audi one. It is not necessary but your brake Pedal travel is less 👍🏻 Have fun on “schraubing” on to your rides

To me I’d think that’ll clean up just fine but wanted some guidance.

Manual transmission drain and fill holes.
Last Poster: jpstewy in Mk5 General Area on June 14, 2025, 08:37:07 am
I am changing my transmission fluid (mk5 6spd manual) and I've discovered the drain and fill holes require a tamper resistant torx bit to remove them. Does anyone know what size Torx bit I will need? I've tried T55 and no luck (too small).

Hello, so I have had an unusual engine failure at 193,000 miles.... So now I'm engine shopping, for a BWA, anything under 100,000 be nice. Was curious if anyone here has anything or any leads, thank you!

Just to chime back in again, I haven't really felt any major 'difference' either in the car since fitting the intake and the noise is really not to my taste, still able to return it so going to get it all taken off with the original one put back on & get it sent back for a refund!

Hi everyone hope this finds you well B) I have an 034 stage 2 2008 Gti DSG, I’ve owned the car for a year now and given its age and kms (130,000) it’s experiencing some wear and tear despite consistent wary maintenance.
Recently I’ve been getting more and more strange noises and weird feelings from both the front and rear of the car.

Low oil pressure caused by PCV?
Last Poster: silvergti_ in Mk5 General Area on June 09, 2025, 05:49:08 pm
My BWA GTI threw a low oil pressure warning sign. About an hour before the sign appeared I installed a new PCV as my car was drinking all of my oil for some odd reason, so I determined it was the PCV. I know it cant really be the pick up pipe as that was cleaned about 200 miles prior to the warning light coming on. My question is could it be that I received a faulty PCV (it was an

Hi all, i know these types of questions are posted alot. But im somewhat confused about my timing chain. Its a 08 BWA with 130k original chain from what i assume. The chain sounds awful on cold start (sometimes) and the engine is more noisy than id like when fully up to temp. Yet when checked on vcds block 91 is 28.0kw b1 (spec) and 28.0kw b1 (act) and my phase position is +2.0kw b

Electric fold door modules mk5 gti
Last Poster: Waj in FAQ's on June 03, 2025, 01:22:08 pm
I’ve recently picked up some mirrors and installed them on my mk5 gti and also installed the door modules that came with them. The part numbers for the door modules are 1k0959793K for driver side and 1k0959792K for passenger side. When I put it all together the driver door went completely dead and only the new folding mirror switch I bought and the lock and unlock button have an il

I’ve had the same symptoms as you twice (although not the not starting bit). Both times I’ve had petrol leaking from the HPFP into the engine. First time it was the OEM seal that the piston runs in after upgrading to the Autotech piston and the second time it was the aftermarket seal on the part that houses the seal that the piston runs in (Integrated Engineering).

Hi, can anyone recommend someone who can get the SKC for my car please? Looking to retrofit highline clocks. The new clocks are 972 and can be coded with VAG commander, just obviously can’t get the SKC off my current clocks???
